This Privacy Policy is currently under review by California-licensed legal counsel. AnuragerZ Dance Studios is publishing this version in good faith as a soft-launch commitment while the final version is being prepared. An updated version may be issued in the coming weeks.

1. Who we are

AnuragerZ Dance Studios (“we,” “us,” “the Studio”) is a dance studio based in Santa Clara, California, offering in-person dance classes, workshops, and events. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you interact with anuragerzstudios.com or book any of our classes.

2. Information we collect

When you book a class or create an account, we collect:

Identity: your first and last name, and the typed name you use to sign the participation waiver.
Contact: your email address and phone number.
Personal: date of birth (used to determine class age group), and emergency contact name and phone.
Booking history: classes you register for, attendance status, and any credits, packs, or referral codes associated with your account.
Payment metadata: the payment method you chose (card via Stripe, or Zelle/Venmo), the amount, and a per-booking reference code. We do NOT store credit card numbers on our servers.
Waiver record: the version of the participant waiver you agreed to, the timestamp of your agreement, and — for evidentiary purposes — the IP address and browser used at the moment of signing.
Technical: browser type, IP address, and session cookies used to keep you signed in and to remember your progress through a booking form.

3. Third parties who process this data on our behalf

We use the following services to run our website. Each processes only the information needed for the function it performs.

Supabase — database and authentication. Stores everything listed in Section 2 except payment card details.
Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
Resend — transactional email (booking confirmations, class reminders, waiver requests).
Stripe — credit card processing. Card details are entered on Stripe's servers directly; we never see or store the card number.
Google (OAuth) — optional “Sign in with Google” on our website. We receive your Google account's name and email, nothing else.
Bank of America and Venmo — payment verification. We do NOT have access to your bank or Venmo account. We read the notification emails these services send us when you pay, so we can match your payment to your booking. We extract only your sender name, the amount, and the memo code you entered.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers or marketing companies.

4. How we use your information

To confirm and manage your class bookings.
To send you booking confirmations, reminders, class updates, and — with your consent — occasional studio announcements.
To respect and enforce the participant waiver you signed.
To improve our website and service (aggregated, non-identifying analytics).
To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

5. Minors

AnuragerZ Dance Studios offers classes for children ages 5 and above. For all participants under 18, bookings must be made by a parent or legal guardian, who provides consent for the child's participation and for the collection of the child's information as described in this Policy. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without their parent's consent, please contact us at danceragerz@gmail.com and we will delete it.

6. Cookies and session storage

We use cookies and browser session storage for two purposes: (a) to keep you signed in after you authenticate with Google, and (b) to remember your progress through a multi-step booking form (name, email, waiver signature) so you don't lose your place if you accidentally reload the page. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

7. Data retention

We retain booking records, waiver signatures, and payment metadata indefinitely for tax, audit, and legal-compliance purposes (California retention requirements for business records generally range from 4 to 7 years, depending on record type). If you wish to have your account and identifiable data deleted, contact us at danceragerz@gmail.com and we will comply within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Your rights (California residents)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have the right to:

Know what personal information we have collected about you.
Request deletion of that information (subject to legal retention limits).
Correct inaccurate information.
Opt out of the sale of your information (we do not sell your information).
Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

9. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on Supabase and Vercel, both of which use enterprise-grade encryption at rest and in transit. Payment card details are never transmitted to or stored on our servers; they are entered directly into Stripe's secure payment form.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, especially as the results of legal review are incorporated. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Studio's services after the update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
